FS: Porsche Cassette Holder
Having removed my cassette player, I don't need the cassette holder. In case anyone needs one, here is a picture:
There's a slight indentation, shown at the arrow.
It's fully functional, ie, the cassette holders still eject. It doesn't have the rubber pad in the bottom of the small well. That's part number 993-552-675-00 and costs a little over $3. List is about $46, I'll sell for $23, including shipping. email or pm if interested.
BTW, here's what I'm replacing it with:
Plastic cup is 964.552.159.00 1DB and the rubber pad that goes in it (not shown in the picture) is 993.552.091.00. Cost $20 for both parts.

I did the same thing that Bill did. IIRC it was under $25. There is somebody/place in the UK that makes the cupholder insert. Can't remember who, but they are on eBay every now and then.

Just went to that link. Where does the holder attach? I couldn't tell from their picture. Also, could you post a pic after you get it? I have a BK Extinguisher mount on the passenger side that might complicate matters. I usually just tuck my water bottle between the insided edge of the mount and my fire extinguisher.

Craig... I am guessing since I haven't received it yet... But I think it attaches to the seat rails. The blow-up of the pictures shows a wing-nut type screw that tightens against the rail. I thought about making one as it looks like an easy thing to do... But by the time I buy the aluminum and put all the time in it... I'm better off buying one.
They get rave reviews... and I'll post pics though I think someone posted some a little while back.

I just called my Porsche dealer and bought them. He just happened to have them in stock. A little more expensive than what you guys stated $26.80 for the cup and $7.60 for the pad.
I bought my C2 back in January and always thought the cassette holders gave the car an 80's vibe. I never really messed with them and constantly opened them with my elbow by accident all the time. Last week I was driving down the road and opened one I apparently hadn't hit yet, it popped up and there was a nice new condom in a shiny wrapper. I guess we know what the previous owner used the car for.

Picked up the pan and liner today and installed it, took all of 2 minutes from start to finish. Great "mod" for under $30, gives the interior a much needed updated look too. Thanks for the info and the part numbers Bill.
