Default Anybody with photo of how tools are stored?

I have the jack, tools, crank for the jack and would like to know where the proper place for them would be in the trunk. Any jpeg will help.

thnks, Jaime

Good question, Jamie.

There was one time when I put all that stuff in there and... 'Eureka!' It all fitted so perfectly and 'locked' together, instantly it was clear that this way the way it was designed to be.

Needless to say, when I took it all out again, I forgot how it was and never found the right arrangement ever again!

Over at RSAmerica.net there is a page describing all the tools. The
last image on the page shows the proper placement of everything. Warning: None of the images at RSA.net are really compressed so if your on dialup the page will take a while to load.

Jaime,

The jack is held in place by a bolt (more like a special butterfly bolt) in the front of the spare wheel (closest to the front bumper). Tool bag, plastic bag for flat tire, and air compressor goes inside the spare compact wheel.

I will take some photos and try to upload them tomorrow...

... but there's a particular way of stowing jack, handle and wheel brace (erm... lug nut wrench) so they all 'lock' together at the front.

My lug nut wrench has always (from new) floated freely in the spare wheel which was always a PITA and just didn't seem "right" and I too mistakenly took the jack and sacrificial anode out of its holding place and could never get the two back in properly. I can't even begin to imagine stuffing all three in there.

My wheel wrench / jack handle are all stored alongside the jack - although I'm fairly certain it's not the way it should be. They don't move around / make a noise though so I don't care too much.

Not sure how Jason got his wrench to fit in the spare wheel well - I'm sure I tried that once and mine was too long?

Since my car came with the tool bag loose, I never actually found out what was supposed to be in there, let alone how it fits.

Excellent Jim!! This will help out many owners!!

I can barely see what I think is the tool set under the air pump. is this right? Also, Looks like the tire iron is adjacent to jack torque handle.

Can you tell us what goes into the pouch that is visible when you open the trunk.....the one that is on fuel tank (has one snap strap).

thank you very much!

Jaime
