Default robert lintons humpty dumpty

very cool car .
i think the parts on there own are cooler than the fully assembled car
i notice everytime robert posts pictures everybody asks about prices !!!!!!
robert replies that most parts are 1-off on to make another would be very , very expensive ...................

so how about a group of rennlisters getting together to pursuade robert to make a small part that all of us can afford ??
if its small enough , and enough of us order to bring the costs down , maybe robert will give up a bit of his time to make the parts ?????????????

i vote for a key head !!!
first i though key-ring but lots of people allready have these

i would be so , so happy if i could replace the plastic bit on my ignition key with a hi-tech version !!

Hmm, I'm not sure I've got $100 lying around for a carbon-fiber, gold plated, super engineered key head.

Ian: Robert has been very clear that his company has no intention of making the parts for retail sale (with the exception of his mystery hp improvement part). I get the impression they would entertain a relationship with a distributor, but there isn't one yet. Given the cost involved in engineering and manufacturing the example parts, I for one, hope they find someone who wants to distribute them and they make more of them for us.

Folks:

As a favor, I would do anything I can for people. As a business, however, I am not and do not want to be in retail and I am not looking for distributors. As to the mystery part, my only role is, if required, to make them for sale by another.

P.S. The prototypes are completed but I sent them back to manufacturing with orders to reduce weight by at least another 70 grams.

I just want to be part of history by having a part that has ties to what Robert Linton makes... call it a cool factor or whatever...

As always, keep us posted on the progress!!
