Burning Brakes
It is yes. The standard clear side markers were in a sorry state and I thought I would try something a bit more contempary when I replaced them.
To Jamie - Only a 10ft beauty at the moment. Up close the paintwork needs some serious attention especially around where the wider arches were fitted. It wasn't so bad when I bought it but it sat outside without an engine in it for 18 months and it deteriorated quite badly and got a few knocks while it was there. I have had a really good quote for having it all stripped back and resprayed so that will be the next project, just the small matter of having to reapply for my job to get through before I commit any more money just yet.

Just finished a couple of weeks work on the C4. Did the lower rockers, overhauled the brakes, replaced a lot of the old body rubber seals and installed a new 350mm OMP suede steering wheel. Wifey took this after I had washed and waxed it.
Nearly 3 1/2 years since I fisrst posted on this thread and I'm pretty happy with the results. Still no end in sight though!!

Hi Udo,
Indeed, new color is Slate Grey.
Car used to be Black when I bought it in December 08. And underneath we also found traces of coral red. It is not a full matching number car (e.g. gearbox) but stripping it down to the bare metal the guys at 'speedservice' who do the job for me noticed it to be a very good base for a personalised rebuild.
Including some modifications to engine, exhaust, springs & shocks etc.
The idea is to have it ready by the end of the year.
