Owner is old school Porsche guy (80 y/o) and will only do re-seal during winter time current rate is $125.00 per hour minimum 10 hours to 30 depending on what needs to be re-sealed. Found him from a member of Region 1 club. iserviceimports.com. Owner's name is Fred

Is dropping the engine in that price? $125 an hour is nothing. Many Porsche dealerships are now over $300 an hour.
I hope your 964 doesn't need a reseal. It was fine when I looked at it. I am assuming seals are extra and that can add up.

My son just came back from the Porsche Macan EV training class in Texas. He said the turbo model is very fast. They just raised their rate from $245 to $275 and no doubt changed their compensation making it harder to make their pay. So they are grabbing everything they can from customer and employee. When he spoke with others from different areas of the country they were the lowest at $245. Many were higher in parts of the country where their overhead was no where near as high. $300 was pretty average and some were more so I was told. I hear Manhattan was at $350/hr and has gone up since. Even the independent shops by me are nearly $200/hr. I am happy I can do my work myself. I figure I save myself between $50k-70k a year servicing 11 cars and rebuilding engines. LOL

Wait when did you get a C turbo S? You always surprise me. The cayman is finally sold so I am onto other things finally. You mean Zone 1. You know Cindy is the secretary. Wondering who recommended him.

The prices that I see for Porsche maintenance in the US seems to be very expensive, For example some of the prices quoted for engine rebuilds on the Pelican forum are eye watering, I can only presume that mechanics in the US are paid way more than a similar mechanic in the UK, thankfully I can do my own maintenance as well, my 2 post lift has paid for itself already and I’ve only had it under 2 years.
