Default timing chain housing gasket

hello,

1990 c2 , the gasket that goes between timing chain housing and engine case. i know that it is aluminum, but does it have rubber on the inner edge to help seal. like the chain tensioner cover plate. thanks

www.msroadrace.com has a good collection of technical diagrams.

Here is one for the timing chain housing.

I just replaced these gaskets this year. The change is rather involved if you have A/C, you'll have to dremel a hole to access one bolt. Additionally, the part numbers have been changed, they are now the same gasket for each side.

Cheers,
Andy

HI Andy,

Do you have a printed guide on changing the cover plate gaskets? I'll loosing every bolt hat hold the engine Tin in place and I can't get the small plate in front of the cover out. Any info greatly appreciate. 95 993
