If you're going to use it for the track mainly, then don't bother. It will only get lots of chips on it again!! Is protected against the elements though?

Where's JohnFM when you need him?
It's actually a unique look in Porsche circles and a great performance upgrade which you should be proud to show off. Unfortunately, it's also a look favored by the Fast and Furious crowd. Tough choice.

Since you're asking, I'd paint it. Looks like a junker with a donor body panel - you should write on the windshield with a wax pencil a date and some numbers, and your windshield will match the overall junkyard ensemble!!!
Porsche's look so nice - a finished, painted front just looks so much better! That's my half-cent!

Why did you buy the bonnet?
Was it so the car would look good? No.
Is there any point painting it? No.
Do you actually care if it looks ricer like these other neurotic fellows are saying? No.
p.s. Can they match the bonnet colour to your Guards Pink colour? No.

If it is Carbon then you better not, I 'd heard that it's very very difficult to get it right. You want to save weight and that's teh price to pay!
However, if it is indeed from another 964 then IMHO you should paint it. It looks aweful even for tracking.
Then again, it's yours and you can do what you like with it! Only if you are happy!!!

She who must be obeyed agrees with Garrett "it looks like a scrapper from the council estate" so painted it will be.
Personaly when I looked at the photo's of the day I thought it looked OK. I must have ricer tendancies.
I hope they can paint carbon because I don't fancy black doors.

Apparently, I also have ricer tendencies - 'cos I also thought it looked OK, and I thought having a bare carbon bonnet was cool.
I'm off to order one of those neon flashy light things to go under my 964 and a big subwoofer for the bass man.......

DaveK, Send us a picture once you have added the blue neon light under the car, it does sound cool. Will you be going to the drive-in Burger King opposite AFN in Guildford to show your conversion off!!!!!

if it was just track use , i'd leave it barr a big PIRELLI or similar sticker across the front for debris protection !!!
painting carbon needs a skim , or a a thick coat of filler/primer to hide the weave ................................ or leave it so up-close you can see the weave , but the paint will always look wonky on refelections
