Want the best for road driving. Am considering the Michelin PSC but tough choice since i won't get more than 4,000 miles from them.
Leaning toward the AD07 over the S03s.

I would not use MPSC for "normal" street driving as the wear will be quick and rain will be a significant issue. I use the MPSC for DEs and love them.
I have S03's on my street car and like them just fine for the street (and as a track DE rain tire they worked ok too). I will replace them with S03s or S02s.
I also have a set of the A032R and hate them as they are the noisiest tires I've ever seen. Check the tread pattern on the A048 to see if it's similar and ask others who have them about the noise.

What Tom said. For street driving, MPSC's are total overkill. I don't know about the other tires but MPSC's are crappy in heavy rain, will be skittery and start hydroplaning in small puddles in the road, and are expensive. I'm not sure how long they would last on the street since most track guys throw out the tires after heavy DE/race sessions or after they outlasted their useful heat cycles.

I used to run S02's on my 964RS as a 'street' tyre , worked well but did not stand up to track use too well....then by chance I bought a second set of (used) wheels that had Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 road tyres fitted....they turned out to be brilliant on track and as far as I could tell no worse on the road....I was very surprised. Have now fitted Michelin Pilot Sport ( not cup) to my everyday 996 replacing Conti sports following a recommendation by extreme driving coach Don Palmer, seem OK if a bit noisy ( tyres that is ,not Don)
Bottom line Michelin Pilot seem to suit 911s , at least for my style of driving

Nice to see you again, AsiaBond. Regarding tires for street use, my car has MSPC since August of last year. However, I do not use the car on a daily basis, more like once a week, and preferably on a dry and sunny day. Therefore, I can not provide you with a fair estimate of how fast the tires will wear out through regular street use. however, I can say that the tire's adhesion is far superior to the SO2 that the car had before.
Do you live on the HK side or the Kowloon side? The reason I am asking is that my friends and I usually meet once a month or so for a night drive around HK. You're welcome to join us if you're interested.
By the way, nice wheels on your 964. Is it Turbo 3.6 type? Can't really see it from the avatar picture. any more picts of your car's wheels?

Hi GT9111
My gf uses the car as a daily driver for her commute so I'm hesitant to use the MPSC due to its wet traction and the fast wear rate. Been researching this issue a lot and am incline to go with the Yoko Ad07s, great feedback from everyone I talked to. The car currently has S02s and they perform decently, just like to change them because they're quite old and a bit worn, had S02s on my Ferrari 348 and found them very predictable tires with no suprises.
How's the wear rate on your MPSC? I noticed the threads ae very shallow even when new, I doubt they last more than 6000km for street driving.
I live in Gold Coast, NT, drop me a note on your next drive and I'll join you guys.

Car was painted by the previous owner by a shop near lei yue mun.
It's a custom header exhaust, no heat exchanger or cats, straight to the one rear muffler, incredible sound and response. I would put the same exhaust on any other 964 or 993 in the future. I think the shop that frabricated it is in Shatin, cost about 9800hkd. You need to hear and drive it to appreciate it, it will astound you. It should be good for another 15-20hp.

I just bought a set of Pilot Sport 2's. I have a widebody kit installed with 8.5" wheels in front and 11" in rear. Fronts are 235/40/18 and the rears are 315/30/18 (like the new GT2). I just use them for spirited street driving, and they work great in the dry and the wet.
