Talking New York venue sought

I have a request from Bentley Publishers. They would like to have a book signing in New York but have been unable to come up with a venue. The dates are April 28th, 29th or 30th that I can come down to NY.
Anyone have any ideas? I know the notice is a tad short.
I will hopefully see many of you down in Daytona next week.
Ciao,
Adrian

Adrian, just for a tip:

If you are to be in Daytona for Rennsport Reunion II and then are scheduled for a book signing in New York...

...that would be going UP to N.Y.

Sorry, no venues that I would be aware of, but then I live a bit DOWN from N.Y. - I'm certain someone can help you out with a Barnes and Noble or something related??

Good luck, have fun...sorry I cannot make either function.

Ah well Jeff not exactly. I am coming across from home to NY. Then I am going down to Daytona. Then up to Boston from Daytona. Then down to NY from Boston back up to Boston then back down to NY then across to home.

AH - you definitely got all that straight.

...I never thought of the "across" scenario, it works for me!

Have fun, sounds like a great trip...I'm envious.

Adrian-If the target market is the porsche sector, wouldn't a porsche venue be the ideal location. There should be someone in the area Porsche Club there that might be up on club activities and other Porsche venues available. It just wouldn't do to have it at the local Manhattan book store or a bmw dealership. On that note, how about a Porsche dealership? They might be able to share the access to the local media market and pull in a crowd.

Dear Kabell,
Yes that is exactly what is being sought. I did not want to be too specific or demanding. I am a PCA member as well. I was hoping somebody on the forum might be able to help and come up with some ideas.

Default Might I Suggest...

...that you coordinate with a local PCA region's (NY Metro, NNJR) monthly membership meeting at a dealership?? Surely this would be a big hit if they advertise who's going to be there in the next newsletter, etc.

Heck, come down to Virginia Beach and we'll have you all setup.

(or UP to V.B. if you're starting out in Florida. )

Dear Jeff,
All I need is a contact number and I can put Bentley in contact with them. I cannot actually do this myself but it does need somebody who will follow it through on the NY/NJ end as well.
I just need somebody to put Maurice in contact with,

Goto www.pca.org and lookup the different regions in N.Y./N.J. - email the newsletter editor, President/V.P. - it's that easy, if they need a "reference" of sort, in case they're not familiar with the 964 sector and your book, etc. - let me know...maybe I can provide some assistance.

Porsche - USA headquarters is in Atlanta. Any chance of getting you to stop here?

Good luck on the book tour

Thanks Jeff I will pass your idea on.
Dear Springer I am not sure I would be welcome at PCNA. They have never responded to any questions I have asked them.
Neither Excellence nor PCA Panorama have reviewed my book even though they have had it for some time. Mind you I doubt if anyone apart from the computer at PCA HQ even knows I am a member.
Ciao,
Adrian
