Strut braces... again...
Okay, so I read the post about "which strut braces fit without cutting the carpet". I don't really care about cutting little slits in my carpet, I'm more interested in how much I'm going to get from my 150-300 dollar upgrade. So my questions are these:
1. How much of a difference does this upgrade really make? Of course, that is nearly impossibly to quantify, so really, for someone who enjoys driving their Porsche the way it was meant to be driven but who doesn't take it on the track (yet), is it a worthwhile investment?
2. Which braces have others tried and which have been the most satisfactory (performance and aesthetics)?
Thank you very much.

1. For non-track and non-autox use, I'm not convinced a normal driver will notice that much of a difference. (Normal driver means your not a pro/very experienced race driver).
2. I don't believe a normal driver will be able to tell the difference of any of the braces, even at the track.
That said, I have one from Performance Products in my 993 (from when it was tracked) and one from a post a few months ago in my 964. The one in the 964 was cheap and it works just fine - it's the one with 3 point attachmnet to the top of the tower instead of the normal two points.

I installed a Racing Dynamics unit and I had to lift the fron of the car off the ground to install it making me a true believer that there is some sag inbetween the towers. It makes the car feel tighter. As for the carpet I purchased a carpet to cut from a swap meet for 40 bucks. I am going to probably cut it down more like the Carrera Cup cars came with. Ay one have a good picture of the Cup carpet under the hood?

I am a normal driver that does not autocross or take his car to track days. Without a doubt it is the best $150 I've spent on my C2. The car feels tighter, more responsive, the only draw back is the other drivers, they drive to slow in the corners.....
Got mine from Performance, it's a Weltmeister.

I fitted a BrayKrause front strut brace to my C4 cab. It cost about £120 and was the best value handling improvement since I dropped the rear tyre pressures when I had 16" Cups to 36psi.
It gives flatter turn in and more direct steering.
