Been holding off posting until it’s in my garage but couldn’t resist adding to this thread:
1-owner (I’ll be #2) Forest green C2 Targa with special order black/silk grey full leather and LSD 😀. Couldn’t be more excited for this one. Picking her up on Friday and then the games begin!!
Note: The myriad of special order colors such as Silver Metallic and Horizon Blue are not included in the above list. This link to another RL TOC provides ample detail on availability of colors during these years. https://members.rennlist.com/jfk964/color_options.htm
I’m not sure how accurate this link is as it doesn’t match up with the 1990 brochure which shows the colors available for all the Porsche models.
Another interesting observation I have made is that 928’s from the same era were ordered in a larger variety of colors, would be interesting to understand why that is.
In your honor, what a great contributor to our hobby and a lover of these skittles/rainbow colors in the cars we love so much. Hardly knew you and you felt like a friend. We all lost today.
May you Rest In Peace. Major condolences to your loved ones. If one of you ever reads this note please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Messaged with him a couple of times he wanted my car offered to give me cash and another 964 for it at first I thought he was nuts only to find out later he was totally legit. Sad for his family wish I could have met him and saw his collection

He loved those colors like the very few rest of us. Very sad indeed.
Here’s Stone Grey, not all that common either from what I can tell.
You are correct about the statement above I put an eye on your chart on colors and years of the 964 and see Stone Grey Met was special order for just on year and world wide there were less than 2000 made total if I remember correct so there are only a few cars with this color to be had ... You have a great looking car
Here is a color I have never seen in a 964. Dunkleblau it comes across like dark blue ink. When I have it inside it looks more blue . It has a mahogany interior . 1990 C2
