That’s why I recommended those shops. They would catch anything.

I hope you are joking about cars in Miami! I DO appreciate all input! The particular car in question is at a dealer that honestly doesn't seem too aggressive in selling me. What I mean is I don't feel like they aren't really trying/making big effort to sell me on this car. That being said this car was sold/listed on BAT about a year ago. They haven't done much to the car except change the wheels to 17" Cups. And it seems the car has been in their inventory since it was sold on BAT. It has about 200 miles more than when it was on BAT.

It's not to say that all cars that are from Miami are junk, there are plenty of good collectors and collections there, but you need to be extra skeptical and vigilant when buying from that region, that's all. A strong PPI from one of the aforementioned shops is a great place to start.

I will also suggest avoiding buying a car from Miami. I had the worst car buying experience of my life buying a 993 from RMC Miami, and I was buying a track car I had VERY low expectations for. I also had a 3rd party PPI performed. It didn't help the massive title issues.
I'll never buy a car from South Florida again unless it's from a reputable private seller, or Champion.

I would add to make sure to check the car out in person before closing any deals down there. That dealer doesn't seem to specialize in air cooled Porsches.

From what I have heard from many sources is that there are a few shops that work with the dealers regularly so when they get hired to do a PPI they gloss over the cars and favors the dealers. As noted, if you decide to buy anything out of Miami it’s best to have a good look at the car in person before you finalize the deal.
