Has anyone replaced the convertible top on their 964 and have documented the steps with pictures? I understand that the later one piece top will fit as well. Thanks

I replaced my top but did not document. I did find a factory step by step guide to the replacement. It has been some time since I did the replacement but am sure I kept information. Am currently traveling but will search files when I return and post if I find. Can scan and email to you if I do.

A lot of people chose to go with the 993 top vs the 964. It eliminates the need to unzip the back and makes it a one touch operation. Although rear window is smaller and looks are subjective. GL

Ok, finally found. About 23 pages, 2MB, have scanned in 2 parts, pdf format. Instruction are for 993, but 964 top is the same just different rear window. Sorry I ended up scanning in upside down so you will have to flip.

Six years now and still looks like new.

The 993 top is quite a different install as far as I know. In my opinion, it does not look good on the 964. Plus giving larger blind spots.

The design of the 993 top is different. How it is removed and installed is the save as the 964. I used these instructions to remove and install a new top on my 964 and had NO issues.
