There have been discussions on here regarding the C2 brake hydraulics being marginal at best when paired with Turbo brakes, which can lead to pedal and ABS problems when operating towards the edge of the envelope, so how does the Brembo GT BBK that's sold for the C2 get around this? Or is it the same marginal ratio situation as bolting on Turbo brakes without upgrading the MC?

Brembo claims that the sets are correct for the original hydraulics- but when I mentioned to the rep that many of us are putting 993 front sets on with 964 rears he didn't have a solid answer. I assume the pistons in the brembos equal more or less the volumes of the original non big red units.

You should be very happy with the MCS. Great quality although why the hyperco helpers vs eibach? Also do you plan to install the eibach torsion relief bearings? I highly recommend them for the street. https://eibach.com/us/c-119-products...-bearings.html

I don't recommend the 964 fronts or rears with the big reds up front. The standard upgrade is to use the 993 N/A rears which are the same piston size as the turbos but use the 24mm rotor vs the 28mm of the turbo. IMO best balance. Do you plan to use 993 RS or std 993 uprights? I am swapping my uprights to std 993 aluminum ones since I don't plan to go below RS height.

What else is needed to switch to 993 uprights, and what’s the weight difference? I assume big reds can mount to them without an adapter?

You will need to swap out to 993 style ball joints and tie rods. The big reds will bolt up but you will need 993TT offset front rotors vs 964T

went with Hyperco because Eibach helpers were back ordered, may be available now but we didn’t want to wait when we placed the order we were told the timeframe was unknown. We are using Torrington torsion relief bearings because my suspension guy likes the 0 bind which “makes corner balancing nice.” Last quote from him. Haha

Cobalt or any others in the know,

Severalpeople have posted options for a sunroof delete. I prefer not to go the Porsche roofskin route as the cost is significant. I searched and see a few people have used a couple of different sunroof “plugs” I will call them that is welded in and I am curious if there are recommendations on ones that are better quality and easier to work with.

thanks, John

Seems the Torrington unit is the same one eibach sells. Worth while for sure.

The fenn lane sunroof inserts work fine. I welded one into my track build with no issue. Cost is significantly less. I just felt my C2 deserved the real deal and since I help with the work it is just my time which is a huge factor and cost savings. Also just another way for me to get deeper into how these cars are constructed. It is fascinating to see the differences between the G body assembly vs the 964.

I too used the Fennlane panel fully top and bottom welded in my 993. The car was in a severe accident and it did not move buckle, crack or do anything that a full roof would have done - the integrity of the roof was unaffected. It was the best mod I did to my car. I miss the look of the slick top, simplicity of no sunroof mechanism, drains or seals to fail, and added headroom. If I could I would do it to all my cars.

Love the RH wheels! If you are painting the car, do you plan to color match the RH wheels? Looks great on a gray car!
