Default Techart/cetoni supercharger

Hello all,

I've been looking at this supercharger system for a while now and it seems to be very well developed. It has a really nice intercooler and everything. Problem is I can't seem to find any anywhere. Are they still in production? I only seem to see them when there is an article about a car that has one.

Thanks,
manuel scettri

Default been there...

Thanks andrew for the link, but I've already been there. That is not the type of supercharger I'm talking about though. The one I refer to is a vortec type where the 9M is a screw type. Also the 9M has no intercooler and the TechArt does. There is an article in GT magazine about a 964 with the type of supercharger I'm talking about. I'm thinking that TechArt is not making them anymore cause they don't show them on their website.

I read that article yesterday and it sounds like a fantastic piece of kit. I have been thinking about the benefits of supercharging and I think it's the way I want to go. It might cost me £6000 pounds to sort it all with brakes and some suspension tweaks but selling my car and spending an extra £6000 on something else doesn't appeal. What could I buy for starters? The only 993 I'm interested in has two turbos bolted onto it and for that money I'm not going to find one, at least not legally.

As soon as I have the cash I would love to supercharge my 964.

JP, did you ever get any info? I'm also looking into it. The Techart site does have it. it's hidden. Go to Tuning 964 then kept hitting the next button on the bottom right till you get to the page.

I've just asked someone to check the price for me. It looks like they shift the aircon compressor to the left side but yes very well specced with replacement pistons & conrods & etc

Default aaahh!

Now I see it! Man they really put it way back there eh? So I had actually given up on that route since I couldn't find any info but now that theres an actual part number I can ask. I don't speak german though so I'll have to ask the Techart dealer.

Thanks for the heads up!

If the Techart kit includes pistons and conrods, there is no way that you will be able to do it for £6000. The 9M kit running low boost with no internal mods will run around £4500-5000+VAT as far as I am aware. If you want Turbo pistons for example to lower the CR then that will set you back another £2500-3000 plus say £1000 or so for Carillo rods or similar. Ask me how I know. I would expect from what you have told me that the Techart kit would come in at £10K + VAT upwards give or take. Mind you, it should be good for at least 350rwhp if not more.

Default like they say...

...you get what you pay for! This kit seems like a real high quality piece. And the fact that it has an intercooler I think is unique for a supercharger kit. The website claims 440 horse too!

Here is the one for sale 964RS

and a link to the article about it supercharger article

Thing is, 964Rs fetch this sort of money anyway - the supercharger adds nothing to the cars value. It would be cheaper to buy this car and ship it than do the conversion

I've made enquiries with local techart dealer, prices will come soon. My guess is about USD20k which works out to be about $100 per hp....quite cheap in that sense.

Researched the TPC SC but hear its not for the track, plus I live in absolute oven of a place so detonation is not just possible but probable especially on the track.

Given up on finding my dream car which is a TT and figured this is the best bang for the buck in terms of performance. Looked at full engine management change to alpha-n but not great $ per hp equation

Only drawback i see on the techart is that I have to put back my great big ugly wing

I got pretty excited with the specs of the supercharger kit and the 6-gear transmisson (gearbox). Unfortunately it seems that the items are no longer available from Techart. Here is the result of my enquiry with Techart (Germany):

Dear Mr. Kap

Thank you for contacting us and your interests in our products.

We regret, but 064.300.400.009
(supercharger) and 093.360.800.009 (transmisson) was canceled from our program.

With best regards

Default NO!

Man, I was really looking forward to hearing about this! But, there has to be another way. I mean, techart didn't actually manufacture this stuff. The actuall supercharger is a kkk unit if I'm not mistaken.
