Default Who has solid inner (tarret) tie rods with stock outers?

Installed a set of solid inner RSR style tie rods a few months ago, along with brand new stock outers- finally was able to get a moment to get the car aligned.
I simply screwed the outer into the inner for the turns needed and installed (after torquing the inner side to the car).
The shop says there's a jam nut missing in between the inner/outer tie rod - is that the case? If so- is it M14x1.5?
I haven't seen anyone referring to it and just want to make sure before I set out on a fool's errand.
Want to make sure everything is safe.

Thanks in advance.

Just about to do this myself, exact same setup. According to PET, looks like there are 2 jam nuts on either side of the center connector and help lock in the adjustment. Your sizing looks to be correct.

Yeah the stock center connector doesn’t work with it. The outer simply screws in to the inner. I’ll try and get two jam nuts and see what I can do.

didn’t see it anywhere when I was preparing to do it. Just assumed it was screw it and forget it!

Yes you need the jam nut. Can't remember if it's backward threading - but you can simply borrow the nut from the set you take off the car.

oh that makes sense.
I didn’t see it anywhere and of course, I threw away the stock ones! Looking up the nut it’s about $13 for each nut. I know the nuts on the inside are reverse thread so maybe these aren’t? I’ll try them out and hopefully get that fixed.
Thank you all

you can likely find Jam nuts at your local Ace or True value hardware... both forward and reverse threads. they have bins of hardware...
