Default HVAC Fan question

Got everything else done and having a hard time putting the
fan covers back on, the inner cover (or venturi) seems to be in the way, project was not as bad as I thought it would be and I am amazed that the fans turned at all front bearing was totally shot

For those who have been down this road how did you get the fan covers back on without the venturi falling out or off its slots

Are the venturi supposed to go on first then the covers? They came off in two pieces

Do I have them on the covers correctly?

Any tips or tricks to this final step?

Thanks JohnK When I try and install the plate with the smaller opening (as shown) it wont clear the fan, turn it around it will fir although I havent got the cover on correctly and that seems to be counter intuitive (wont be the first thing on these cars that makes no sense to me)

Hopefully @ToreB will come around I am sure he knows the answer to this

I was able to get the left side done (and thats the hard one)

The fan blade on the right does not recede enough to fit the venturi without interference, rather than risk breaking the fan blade I will shave the venturi down and for the record I had them put together correctly, you really have to install the venturi and then the cover, there is a locator slot on the cover so you can see that it went together correctly

Putting the covers/venturi back on was the hardest part of this job

Make sure the fan is seated fully. When it is, there should be clearance between the fan cage and the plate.
