Continuing the hunt for oil leaks. Followed the excellent thread https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...t-o-rings.html to sort out the leaks at both chain housings and the PAS pump. Messed up the camshaft timing so decided to remove the engine.

Glad I did as it made it much easier to change the seals and refit the freshly painted tinware as well as getting the camshaft timing spot on. Changed the HT leads, distributor caps & rotor arms, engine carrier and mounts and bolted it back in. Lost lots of time refitting the grommet on the throttle cable. Eventually tried some lubrication and it slipped in.

All back together and so far the cam seals, chain housings and the steering pump are all dry. The hose from the PAS reservoir to the pump started to leak so another one changed. Fitted the cat bypass, changed the very rusty bumper brackets and fitted the RS quick shift and golden rod. Then it was off to Center Gravity for Chris Franklin to work his magic on the set up.

Running at RS ride heights, 2 degrees of camber rear, 2.25 camber front and the Öhlins set at 5 rear, 7 front. The car feels totally planted even on the pot holed UK back roads. Cant wait to get it out on the track....
