Default Frunk seal

The seal that was in my car looked to be just a flat rectangular shaped piece of weather strip from Home Depot. I have a new seal to install but am unclear on how the flap with 5 holes at the latch end should be oriented like over the bumper seal or under it
any tips guys
Thank You !

I can't run down and check since my car is getting a makeover... but I believe it is sandwiched between the upper and lower part of the front bumper seal.

The openings line up with the screws that hold the front bumper in place and gets tucked under the smile. Sometimes you need to trim it slightly to lay flat.

Reviving this thread as I reinstall a new Frunk seal. I found that the pressure from the lips on the seal hold it very firmly to the front and side but no such pressure exists at the rear. Therefore I was going to use adhesive, likely 3M 1300, only at the rear. What did you all do?

Same as the stuff you use for the sunroof seals here: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...l#post16547759

The frunk seal is even easier than the sunroof seal.
