A write up would be great.

I picked up one of these but it's been sitting in a closet waiting for a bluetooth solution. It's pretty close to period correct for a build date of '89.

Question for the guys who went the continental route
a) when listening to radio does it show the station name and song title (RDS) or just the frequency?
b) similar question for Bluetooth streaming: does it display the Artist and Song title?

Really nice.
How did you get the Porsche overlay done, sticker? And how did you get rid of the Conti script?

Unfortunately it doesn't show any of the info - I wish it did.

All the Conti radios show RDS information as station name etc. in Europe.
It might be that when you set the radio to a US frequency plan, RDS is not enabled, or US broadcasters use RDS incompatible with these radios.

There is no information of song name etc when streaming music. I wish they did.
Cheers,
Tore

Based upon my install RDS information displays on European setting but not on the USA setting. Its the radio not the broadcasts, when I first turned it on the RDS information displayed on the European setting, once I set it USA it was gone. The AM display is different than MW with different frequencies displayed.

Clarion shows everything. Maybe try writing them and asking for a amber light option, I’ve already done it and they wrote back saying they passed along the feedback but it’s been a year now and nothing!
