Default what's the pocket for in front luggage area?

idle noodling..I saw that 993's came with a warning triangle in the long thin transverse pocket in the front luggage compartment.

Was this the same in the 964, or is it just to stop bottles of wine rolling about after you've been to the supermarket..?

You can get the warning triangle from Halfords. In a red case, that fits the pocket perfectly.

Hmm.. I'll need one for the NBR trip, Halfords here we come.

Does anyone know if the 964 was delivered with a warning triangle in there?

Their is a good chance of it. Think that it may well be German Law to have one.

Yes, depending on the market, I think.

There are some pictures showing it in place in one of the early brochures for the 964. I could scan one or two if you'd like.

You can actually roll up your factory tool kit, and it will fit in the pocket nicely.

Same here!! The warning triangles are inside a grey plastic case... never crossed my mind that they could be from factory... I thought it was something the PO had in there... but then again, my car is an import from Sweden.

If you have a minute, old chap..

I quite fancy trying to get an 'original' in there, i.e. same as any other, 'Porsche' written on it, 4 times the price...

It you put the tool kit in there the weight will pull the carpet out of shape over time.

It's meant for the triangle and, yes, every car should have one in Germany.

Another way of doing things is to the remove the pocket. The triangle fits perfectly under the carpet squeezed between the chassie numberplate and the spare tire. Keep the toolkit and the pump in the spare tire. It gives you a little more space in the trunk and a much cleaner look!
