I'll have to settle with Cobalt Blue with blue vinyl. Have been thinking about a blue RS carpet kit (instead of black).
Nowalso very interested in adding Cobalt studio cloth seat inserts (to seats like or similar to the classic Recaro Pole Positions).

Thanks again for sharing. I can only imagine how calm you must have tried to remain on the surface while you negotiated a price for the kit! I definitely went to the right guy.

Blue carpet on your car for sure! Blue leather bolsters and studio cloth center Pole Positions would be EPIC!

Luckily the seller was quite fair as I flunked basic Poker Face rules when I saw the Kit... I asked how much and simply peeled out the C-notes!

That is a super cool piece of memorabilia !

I would love a favor - can you post all 3 black paint colors side by side, maybe in a couple different lights? Car is going for paint on Saturday, and been toying with the idea of going with Metallic Black over the regular black that it came as. From what I've read it's a very subtle difference but would be cool to see the actual samples next to each other.

Thank you!

What an amazing find!
SO, how were these used? Travelling Porsche sales people going door to door?
Or did the dealers whip this out when a buyer asked about different factory color choices?

Thanks for sharing!

A great find. The only 'easy' interior to refresh is Black so picking one of the more exotic options may have been a hassle if it wasn't kept in top condition. Even common colours like Marine Blue are difficult e.g. I found a source of 1990 Marine Blue Sliverknit which was a perfect match for the original carpet. I later ordered a full carpet set of the same colour and it's a close match but not for OCD types. The colour and style are slightly off.

[QUOTE=nathan1;15682774]I attended the LA Lit meet this weekend as I do every year, usually I find some fun items, but I found something I was REALLY excited about and figured my pals on Rennlist would go nuts over it as well....

It's a MY1991 Porsche travel case packed with actual samples of every exterior color, leather, upholstery and carpet. These are ACTUAL pieces of paint, carpet, leather, etc! The case had never been used and all the rare an unusual colors and fabrics are there! I hope you all enjoy!

That's great!

Whilst the Porsche production line may have stopped building 964's to order in 1994, not too far away there is another factory where you can chose a specification, exterior colour, trim and carpet then commission a 964 build to exacting standards, better than new. Welcome to Cloud9m, where if you dream it, we can build it.

The only limitation, as John McM pointed out above, is the availability of the original materials and of the possible colour variance from new stock to original, but it's a big assumption that you would chose an original cloth trim over some of the modern alternatives and leather.

Calling Cobalt!
This, but something that compliments your Amazon Green. Subtle, different, classy, and factory period, but usually not seen/spec'd in the States.
Just a suggestion...

Such an amazing find!!!

Don't see Forest green on there either. Was that only available in 1990?

That is nice. I have not found a source for the fabric but that gets me into resurfacing the seats again which I was hoping to leave black. The carpet doesn't look like the stock Sliverknit though.

Would anyone have the names or color codes for the 3 leather colors in a maritime blue RS seat insert? I’m trying to recreate a steering wheel in a car I just bought. But can’t find the names or color codes to tell the leather man what to order.
