Default Need RL Photoshop Help - Designing new Gauge faces

I have been working on project Rest-volution for well over 4 1/2 years in part due to constant delays from the shop handling the work where many things that supposedly were done...weren't. I am hoping the RL community can assist me in some design/photoshop help as I am working to come up with a custom gaugeface layout. While I could sketch out what I would like to have, I would rather have a photo realistic design done so there is no confusion or further delays in the production. More than willing to compensate for the assistance, I would like to work up the design for each of the 5 gauge faces. In my build thread, I discussed blending the 356 and early 911 green on black gauges with some more modern elements.

Thank you all in advance, I wish I had the skills

So I have been working with the team at Car-Bone and they have come up with the following template for me and will be producing the gauge faces. Palo Alto Speedometer is restoring the gauges, but neither can source the white needles or aluminum/silver needle caps I want to replace the stock needles with. Does anyone have a lead on where I should source White needles for the 964 gauges?

Make sure the rear of the gauge face is completely blocked out in light ink where the clear plastic light guide touches (blue'ish white below). Otherwise you will end up with spotty illumination at night, like every single aftermarket gauge face.

Do you have a picture of the needles you'd like? AFAIR, the original needles have a red sticker applied to the face. But they are polycarbonate so you could probably remove the sticker and then whiten them with super glue.

What do you mean by "blocked out in light ink"?

I've also noticed that aftermarket gauges have terrible illumination, but I thought it was a problem with the aftermarket material.

I don't have any pictures of the needles but want to emulate this look. Thank you for the information on ensuring proper light output...I will pass along to the guys at Car-Bone.

very cool. I have carbone working on a red tach with center redline 0 - 8k. Just going to change the tach and keep rest black oem. I'm not that fancy :-) but right now I have a piece of red gaffers tape on the tach to make redline easier to see, so welcome having it at 12 o clock.

Carbone did an amazing job designing the gauges and Hollywood Speedometer did the install and managed to utilize 993 parts to replicate the white needles.
