Default abs and psm lights

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a 964 c4, my first Porsche so new to them. Everything was fine on the test drive, as soon as I had it transported home the ABS and PSM lights were on the dash, occasionally went off after a minute or so but now stay on constantly.
When the ignition is on the pump stays on for over a minute then turns off, if I depress the brake 3-4 times it turns on again.
I have bled the accumulator and the ABS block with no change. I have had the diagnostics checked today and no faults came up.
Accelerometers were changed for solid state ones over a year ago so they should be fine.
No brake fluid leaks anywhere.

What should I try next, any help would be much appreciated,

Never heard of a 964 4S but if you mean a C4 then its normal for the pump to be run for about 30-45 secs with power on as this is the accumulator being pressurized. its also normal for it to run after the brake pedal has been applied a few times, again this is the accumulator being topped up.

Check the fluid reservoir that it is at or just above the MAX mark. it's common for the lights to come on if it falls below this level.

Regards,

Neil

I had intermittent warning lights, with no apparent rhyme or reason. My mechanic couldn’t find an obvious issue. Discovered that my battery was SLOWLY going bad. Replaced the battery and all is well right now.
