Has anyone been able to install these inserts with the transmission still in? I have a set that I'd like to throw in (trying to track down a slight shifting issue) but if it requires a trans removal I think I'll wait until winter to drop the engine/trans to take care of some minor oil leaks also.

C4 is an easier swap with transmission in as it is bolted on.

I use the mount from Turbokraft. Together with solid engine mounts the drive train feels super solid. Under load up to 2-2500 rpm there is more noise, but the feel is more important to me than the noise.
