Default Steering wheel question... 930S wheel into 964

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...MaAmdoEALw_wcB

For a 930S wheel as per above... will it mount directly onto the factory 964 steering wheel hub? Will the horn work? I have read on some post an 'ATIWE' hub is needed... but this is a stock Porsche steering wheel, no?

Getting a new (to me) 964, have done a couple of Prototipo's with Momo hub which robs arm reach clearance... thought I would try something different for this car.

Also, anyone happen to know what is a diameter of stock 964 steering wheel? Aftermarket Momo's are usually 350mm which is notably smaller than stock... blocks view of gauges...

930 wheel is made by Atiwe, best way to mount this is to use momo 7004 hub and an adapter to mate the steering wheel to momo hub. I sold my 930 wheel a while ago and still have the adapter if you are interested.

The stock airbag wheel is 380 mm, if I recall correctly

I have a Ruf wheel made by Aitwe, it came with all of these parts but I believe this is what you would need...

This is the Atiwe offset spacer for gauge visibility: https://www.fvd.net/us-en/100498ATI4...tiwe-15mm.html

Hub https://www.fvd.net/us-en/1004981729...tact-ring.html

Thanks for the info... by the looks of the adapter and mounting hub it does not look like this set up will leave the steering wheel any closer to the dash than the Momo wheel/Momo 7004 'accordian' hub adapter...

Edit...

Actually, FVD list the Momo hub at Size: 7.87 x 5.12 x 5.12 inches and the Aitwe at Size: 5.12 x 5.12 x 5.12 inches. If those measurements are correct, without the spacer, the Aitwe is over 2.5" closer to the dash. And about 2" with the spacer.

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU964SSW.html <--- this is the same wheel as the 930S wheel yes? just with Porsche logo... or different? description is silent on mounting

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU964SSW.html <--- another option... says it is a wheel made my Momo, so I assume uses Momo adapter, so same issue

Are there other options that get the wheel mounted closer to the dash?

FVD says the 930s is 360mm

See my edited post above, the Aitwe hub is shorter according to FVD.

What do you do about the airbag light?

Install a resistor, maybe? Has anyone done this?

Does the seatbelt lock-up still function then, in an accident?

You install a bridge plug in the center console that disables the airbags.

Yes! A resistor does the trick perfectly, and is much more cost-effective than the bridge plug or cannibalizing the air bag tester.

Here is is how I did it: 2.7 Ohm resistor for bypassing airbag

I just measured it for you, from the clam shell to the back of my wheel is 4.25" so those FVD measurements are off. Maybe someone with a Momo can measure theirs.

The bridge plug can be had for around $35 and takes about 5 mins to install. Personally, my OCD would not allow me to run a resistor knowing there's an OEM part for it, lol.
