Progress continues on the paint. Color and clear applied to the roof. The bonnet is now getting some TLC on both sides making ready for paint on top, and clear underneath. The attention to detail, even on the underside of the bonnet, is remarkable.

Thanks! Seeing your Avatar, I’m also looking forward to having the headlight rings painted white. Looks right on the car.

So I think you need to change the thread title from pig to something else.....she’s way to pretty even for a show pig.

Can’t wait to see more

Grest progress on the paintwork. Once they finesse the windshield back in, the car should be ready to drive home. Will have to find a sunny Day as there’s still no rear windshield or corner windows.

The carbon fiber decklid looks remarkable, both inside and out. You’d never know it’s CF. And it’s nice to see the headlight rings properly painted white. The photos speak for themselves.

Thanks guys, I’m really pleased with the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this shop.

Next step is to paint the interior, install the new suspension in, and get her out on the track!

Amazing build and something I'm contemplating on doing on mine. My only concern is if I do, will I regret it later and think I went too far. Great execution and attention to detail.

Thanks Actung964, and I understand your concern about going too far. Working with my 993 C2S I’ve been determined to do no irreversible mods so that the car can be restored to stock. Working with Wilbur has been liberating in that sense. The car was rusting from the inside out. That’s what allowed me to cut the sunroof off the car without hesitation.

But having done this with the sullied 964, I’m seriously considering doing this same sunroof delete on my 993 as well...

Apparently, I haven’t adventured over to this forum enough - spent the last several cups of morning coffee reading up on every post. Hats off and total admiration for your impeccable efforts with the build. Great to see the preservation of not only the car but also giving it a new life as the perfect DE and AX weapon - exactly what this car deserved!

Thanks 993pbug, I greatly appreciate that.

And I couldn't agree more that this is exactly what this car deserved. I'm looking forward to seeing how many seconds this knocks of for AX. I haven't tracked the car as yet, but she handled like a u boat at the AX at Fort Devens last summer.

Wow the paintwork looks great and the fit and panel gaps of the hood is shockingly good. I like the lightweight hood prop too, that’s a clever idea.

Yes, thanks for noting the fitment! My indy had noted the varying gaps with the prior bonnet. I’m guessing the fenders have been replaced, because it’s pretty darn wavy. Mike took his time at the paint shop sanding the bonnet edges edge by hand until he was satisfied with the fitment. And the RS hood prop is all stock FYI.

Here’s the fitment before. Hats off to the paint shop for the final fitment.
