It is silly that he did all those major fixes and work and never fixed the gear on odometer. Bloose993TT that video look scary but i tend to look at the glass as half full.

Hopefully your pockets are all the way full, lol. I kid, but seriously, the bits and pieces add up quickly.

The guy just seemed like he intended on keeping the car forever and never bothered with fixing it since speedo worked and he kept a log of miles and said he figured the plastic gear would just break again . He did all the huge major services documented just the silly little odometer gear he never got fixed..it is stupid if you ask me.
Good luck and have fun.

The rust is what would scare me the most not the odometer. Check video below.

well the seller seems to not want to sell it now, becoming a pattern with these aircooled Cars couple of people I talked to decide they don’t really want to sell..so why list it then .

That is an extreme case and there are far less expensive ways to fix this and do an equally good job. I think he needed an excuse to go with the sunroof delete.

it seems to be an extremely hard task buying a 964, either the sellers are dreamers, or the cars are beat or there is no time to think about it or get it inspected when a good driver with a reasonable price comes up or worst of all sellers not serious about selling their cars.

I hit the easy button and I'm glad I did. I picked up a low mileage example that had very few needs and paid a premium for it. I have been enjoying it for a little over a year now. I don't see the point waiting for that "perfect" car. Find the best one available even if it outside your price comfort zone and just buy it.
