Amethyst 964's and 993's
Not sure if this thread has been done before, but would be great to see pictures of air cooled in Amethyst. Here's a few of a friends car - will try to get better pictures next time the sun is out. 92 964 RS NGT.

The Amethyst car is a special 1 of 20 ever built. Each of the 20 were a different color. These 20 cars were originally designated for a one make racing series in Macau in the early 90's. Originally 26 of these cars had been ordered from Porsche, however the race was cancelled. Mitsuwa, an importer for Japan, offered to buy the 20 cars from Weissach in 95 as long as they were refitted with interiors befitting of a road car. Porsche went ahead and did this . Once this was done, Mitsuwa was issued a cease and desist order to not use the Porsche name, which killed the deal. Instead, the cars were sold to Art Sports in Osaka who marketed the cars as 964 RS Racing Package. All 20 were sold in Japan. The interior retrofit included a leather covered cage, triple leather covered RS bucket seats with tri color, schroth belts, club sport wheel, RS carpet, headliner and a DME relocated behind the seats.
