Default 1991 C2 Cab for sale

I thought I had my 1991 C2 Cab sold, but the guy just didn't want a red car, so I am back to square one. I put it on e bay and got a high bid of $15,500 which is ridiculous. The car has a 3 year old top, year old complete high end paint job, new front seats, and everything works. It has a Blaupunct stereo, with a Sony 10 disc changer with remote. All maintainence is up to date, as a matter of fact the car has been maintained by the same Factory trained tech since it has had 34,000 miles, and I have his phone number for anyone interested. Always has used Mobil one. It has 124k now, but the motor, trans, etc is perfect. Anyone interested can email me at BillLSeifert@aol.com or call me at 615-512-9899. I prefer phones, as I hate email. I am thinking of taking to a friends "High End lot" in Orlando for the winter, cause it is hard to sell in Tenn in the winter, but taking it there is such a pain.

Let me know,

Bill Seifert

Boy, am I an idiot, I forgot to put the price, I would like $23,500, and in the latest Excellence Market Update, Bruce Anderson rates the car from a low of $$24,658 to a high of $31,613, so you can see it is a great deal. I love the car, but have 6 Porsches, and the insurance is too much. For you North East coasters, I will split the cost of a one-way plane ticket to come see the car, and pick you up at the airport. I really don't feel comfortable selling any car, sight unseen.

Bill- also try listing the car on Auto Trader (popular on-line classifieds) I actually bought my car from an ad on there- it was in Florida and I live in NJ, so I flew down to look at it & had it flat bedded up to NJ. Also, if you're in the Porsche Club of America try the free classifieds there- they appear in the monthly magazine & also on-line on the PCA website! Good luck selling the car- it sounds nice!

Andrew,

I would but I am also selling an 83 944 racecar, and it is going into PANO next month, so I will advertise it the next month. Thanks for the tip on Auto Trader, I will try it. Thanks for your help.

Bill

I put my 77 911S in the Auto Trader online 7 mnths ago and sold it within a couple of hours. Well worth the $65 fee. Also bought my 964 from it also a couple days before.
Good luck!

Ummm - you can also try the Rennlist Classifieds. Those are free - and you don't need to be a Member to post or view them. As well - I sold my '87 in 4 hours off them 4 weeks ago. I guess with 20,000 visitors a day to the Rennlist Classifieds - they appear to work.

HOWEVER - if you'd like to send me $65 for placing your ad - I'd cash your check. But - what do I know???

Good luck.

John D,

Thanks, but how do you find Rennlist Classifieds? As a matter of fact, how do you get private messages? I got one, and I clicked where it told me to and nothing came up. So I put the address into my computer, and it said it could not display that page. I have never answered one before.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

Hi Bill, Classifieds are listed on the task bar directly above this window and have menus to follow. But I don't need any competition, so please don't decide to buy a car I want. Thank you.

I reach my PM board by clicking, this time at the top of the page for the 964 forum on My Profile. However it seems you may have some tech glitch. If John isn't lurking here, you may want to post him on the feedback board. J

Hey JoeW and Bill....

Awww - I'm still lurking Hey Bill - if you don't see the classifieds link - try disabling your "AD BLOCKER"..?? I'm not sure why, but some only block the ads you want to get into (sort of reverse intuition, I guess )

Anyway - if the link doesn't show for you - let me know? As well - heck, you can just post your 964 here in the Forum - and let JoeW buy it.... Heh...!!!

My $65??? Where??!!!! The public classifieds are free, and nope I don't charge or take commission (hmmm - let me think about that..??? )

Oh the Member Classifieds..?? Naw - a Rennlist Membership is only $17.95 - but then you get the "Rennlist Member" tag, 200MB of free disk space for your own website, a Rennlist e-mail account (NO SPAM or Viruses, cause I filter it out on the rennlist.net accounts), discounts from Rennlist Vendors - well from the new site I just put up as well a few minutes ago - https://rennlist.com/direct/ , photo uploads, free......

Wait a minute - why do I feel like I'm doing an "info-mercial"??

I'm headed back to the garage to work on Jen's rattling noise and look at her square mirrors..... Carry on...

Nice pitch John! I am sold, my check will be in the mail tomorrow! As for selling the C2 I would say that the free Rennlist Ads are the way to go my friend. Best of luck - Jay Gratton

wow, $23.5 with 125K miles....I think the e-bay price is a good market indicator, if you get $20K I would be surprised. It is winter, it is a C2 Cab and your price puts it into the bottom of the Boxster range. If someone has cash to play at $15-20k range, they can pay cash/financce to go higher and get a much newer Porsche.

Good luck.

The price listed is an asking price, people can always make an offer. I agree with the winter thing, and will probably wait until spring, as the only thing the car is costing is insurance. Ebays- $15,500 being a market indicator----I really hope not. I am seeing SC's and early Carreras selling with 100+k at $14,000- $17,000, and the 3.6 is a WHOLE lot faster, the AC actually cools you, and is a more modern looking car, though I will admit that is a matter of opinion. If my taste ruled, noone would have ever owned a Corvette, so as you can see, there are a lot of people besides yourself that disagree with me. Also, about $23,500 being low Boxster, I have a friend with a 1997 Boxster that would sell his soul for someone to offer $20k for his. I think I just picked a poor time to sell.
