Should I keep my old d90 wheels?
Hi guys, just a quick question. Now that I have the fuchs on my car I'm not sure what to do with the old d90s. I'd like the money to spend on other mods but don't wanto regret selling them? Opinions appreciated!

I have a set of 16” cup 1’s in addition to the 17” set now on the car. I’m thinking soft sticky tires on the 17” and highway tires for road trips on the 16’s. Can you get enough for them to be able to make other mods happen? If so and you have no use for them I bet you could always pick up another set in the future if you really wanted them again.

I'm keeping mine when I put on the 17" Cup 2s. They'll be refinished and stored.

If you see yourself keeping the car for years, then they should stay with the car if possible. Things change over time (fashion and your feelings towards them), and D90s are definitely coming back. With the right stance, they actually look great on a 964.
I almost sold my set years ago (also for extra mod money), but chickened-out while emailing tons of VW enthusiasts who wanted them for cheap. I doubt whether mine will ever go back on the car, but keeping them just seems right, since I plan to be a long term owner.

I currently have mine installed but will eventually get something different. But I will keep the D90’s for concours events since they’re period correct and original to the car.
Overall I’m not sure keeping them matters as they’re still readily availalable on the used market.

I don't know a single person that has sold an original part from their 964 and then hasn't come to regret it. Either because their tastes change with time or the price of a replacement seems to double very quickly. Before we know it, D90s will be the next Fuchs!

I pulled my D90s off and ran with some 17" Boxster wheels for a bit. I liked the look of these, but just a few weeks ago pulled them and put the D90s back on, and I'm glad I did. It was well worth keeping them around for a quick and easy change to the C4.

Keep them, or sell the to me, then I will have 2 sets. D90s are the new bit coin

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm still undecided what I'll do. The sale would pay for a lightweight carpet kit with a bit of change... I don't see me using them ever again but I feel it could be one of those things where you can't find them in the future...

I like my D90's. They are so much lighter then the OEM 17" Cup wheels ! (Yes, put them on a scale; you will see what I mean...)
Finally sold my 17" Cups for a very good price (7J & 9J 965 Cups...), really 'lighter' handling with the D90's.

I have two sets available if anyone wants them. One set is chromed with all season tires, another is polished (unfortunately)... both sets are stacked and ready to go.
