I just reread and realized I didn’t catch your question before. I have a awesome mechanic and he basically has given me the run of the shop for the winter. Anything I can’t do he just teaches me how to right then and there. Anything I can’t finish helll button up for me and just charge for that. All tools available and a lift. Im super lucky to have such a good (factory trained) buddy.
No worries pete, man that's awesome! I wish I had a situation like that, I'm still working in my dirt floor garage or front lawn!

If I could just figure out how to get my 964 over......
It's a must! Until my trip I hadn't realised how awesome the roads and scenery here are! Oh yeah I reckon it would be 4x4 heaven here!
The more I drive the car the more my idea of my perfect 911 evolves! Now that I have the spare wheel, tyre inflator and jack in the frunk I thought it would be good to cover it for my luggage and whatever I put in there. I spent the afternoon making a floor! I'll cover it with carpet tomorrow.
Frunk floor
You would be 100% correct! We stayed in wanaka for the night, absolutely beautiful down there! Sad thing is I cant even claim it as my country! I'm an immigrant
Haha lucky man! I wish I could be. Not a chance now with their policy.
Excellent thread and progress thus far! After seeing your frunk I definitely want to remove my carpet, a board for luggage, and detail.
The fan shroud looks great with the spark plug wires routed behind the fan. So glad you posted a pic I’ve been looking for a decent pic that shows how it was done.

Thankyou my friend. It's a nice easy job, I spent an hour with a big cardboard box making one then transferred it to some 9mm ply. Carpet cost bugger all and I think the end result is tidy and functional!
Yes the leads I only did temporarily because I couldn't get the plastic thing back on then I realised it looked tidy haha!
I have a lot of other priorities using up my time and money at the moment so I have purchased a new cheaper 964 to work on when I have some spare time!
Full build thread coming soon
