Sounds like everybody's **** is falling off, does your shaft look the same as mine? I'm kind of worried it's broken off and it wont be as simple as just putting a new **** on.

Default Goodbye for now

I feel a bit sad saying this but the car is sold!

Mrs dingo and I have had alot of fun and good memories with the car, but it's time to move on.
I purchased the 964 without knowing anything about porsches, everyone on this forum has been so helpful and friendly that working on the car has been a breeze! So thankyou to everybody for being awesome!

I've purchased a 996 turbo, the car has a few issues but as everyone knows I really enjoy working on them, the friends I make along the way, learning about things and getting them cleaned up to a good standard (possibly enjoy this more than actually driving them lol)

The 964 is my ultimate car, but being a rhd country I need a rhd which are well out of my price range.

My plan is to get the turbo all up to tip top condition over the next few years and enjoy a different generation of 911 then hopefully by then I'll have enough money to buy a rhd manual 964!

I'll still check out this forum every day and see what you guys are upto.

Thanks again and like Schwarzenegger I'll be back!

No way! Sorry to see you go from the 964 but glad to see you're still in the Porsche community! At some point I'd like to retire my daily driven car and add a 996 turbo as a replacement as well. Congrats and Happy Motoring!

I didnt expect it myself! Just kind of happened, I just realised that no matter what I do to my 964 it will always just be a lhd in a rhd country. Someone really loved the car and wanted to sell a 996!

Thankyou for the kind words, I have really enjoyed cleaning the 964 up.

Will most definitely put the link on here

996 turbo are a beautiful thing, and very cheap for what you get!
Thankyou!

Congrats on the TT Dingo, I’ve heard good things about them!

I’ll definitely drop in on the 996 thread once you get it started.

Enjoy in good health and maybe we’ll see you back here in a few years.

The 996 turbo is a sleeper and a great value IMHO. We’ll miss your posts over here in the 964 Forum. Wishing you and Mrs. Dingo happy trails my friend.
