Well, god question.
I hope, so.

Actually, when I installed it, I assumed it was going to fit correctly, but I haven’t checked.
Can that be the source of the problem?
Thanks for the input, I’ll check it first thing!!!!

I guess I would start by looking through the opening on the bottom of the bell-housing, if nothing looks out of the ordinary down there. Then head over to the side opening of the bell-housing on the driver's (left - opposite of the starter) side.
Plunger end of the slave cylinder is resting in the receiving cup of the release fork.
Please see picture attached.

I know it's not easy but can you look in there now and see any metal shavings or rub marks? If my memory is right I don't be leave you could install the clutch disc backwards

I'm away from until the weekend, so I can,t check it.

Right, now, after checking that the salve cylinder is OK, all chances are to drop engine again unless someone comes up with a great idea.

What he said -=^ You should be able to look into the side and bottom of the bell-housing for wear marks. If your bolts are too long you'll know instantly and can order the correct one's and possibly(?) replace them without dropping the motor. If you used the wrong release bearing, you'll know instantly, etc. If the clutch disc was installed backwards you will hear it rubbing against the guide tube the moment the engine turns over.

You can definitely see the clutch plate through the various "windows" and if the bolts are striking. Here is a picture I took of my engine/trans package before install.....

Quick update: some picture of the bots with sings of interference with the housing. Today I dropped the engine again, tomorrow I will separate the transmission to check inside. Let’s see what I found.

Well, today I fire it up again, with the correct bolts, and PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!
It’s tight, very tight. As you can see on the previous picture, bolts head is just barely scratched, but it’s enough to touch the gear box case.
Thanks for all the very much appreciated help.
