Which 993 site is that?

Adrian,

I also just got your book and it was a great investment. I can see that it was a huge effort, I hope it pays off for you.

Was there every any doubt? All the Bentley books are great for the
MAJORITY of Porsche owners. I have all three of the key ones; 911SC,
3.2 Carrera, & the 964 one. These are supplemented by my many
Porsche Factory manuals when the need arises for very detailed info,
e.g. wiring diagrams.

Good Luck

Bentley set very high standards for their products be they inhouse or from independent authors. They teach first timers like myself how to write and prepare a book for submission to a publisher.
It takes a while and you learn all the time but it is worth it.
The 911SC book I am doing took only 2 months (8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week) to get to ready for submission stage.
I am awaiting the arrival of a couple of very important images then it is off to the editing stage.
I am happy that you are all happy with your purchase. As I always say as long as you feel it is money well spent.

Hi, Adrian!

Have been enjoying your book since before Christmas!

Would you please write a book about modified and freak 911 - I'd love to have a feature on my black beauty to gain immortality!

My only concern was shipping expenses and customs duty - next time I fly to the States to take personal delivery. Would be more fun and cheaper...

Dear Anatol,
Nice to hear from you again. You only live down the street and I haven't seen you in a couple of years.
Your 964 is in the book but not in its current form of course.
I bet it drives differently since the last time I drove it.
Yep cannot do anything about shipping and customs I am afraid. This is why I tried to keep the book price as low as possible in the first place.
Bring your machine around soon so I can have another go. Mine has not changed but may be changed this year.

Adrian

Dear Adrian,
The negative side effect of a C2 is that it is not an all season vehicle in our Swiss climate!
But as soon as spring warms the tarmac enough to give my tyres grip, I will head for the registration authorities to collect my licence plates. Then I will be straight off to your place to let you experience the current status. Maybe even with a shorter trans, then. With six tightly stacked gears for our Appenzell hills.

Dear Anatol,
I look forward to it. Maybe I will have something else for you to test drive as well. However there will be a security guard with you to make sure I get the car and keys back

Finished it. It was *great.* Read every word except the part on CIS.

Thanks for the English-American translation. I learned a lot from it, especially English: Left=American: Right. I guess that means Tony Blair is a right winger and Geo. Bush is a left winger. Brits only "warn" once, while Americans can't just warn once so they engage in "warnings. It's all very informative!

Anyway, great job. If I was Australian, I'd nominate you as Aussie of the year. After all, if Steve Irwin could be nominated, why not you? Please take this with the humor/humour I intended.

I agree with Jon - I particularly like the hidden little pieces of humour.

Dear Jon and John,
I am really happy you picked up my little funnies and my strange sense of humour, that I threw into the book. I am even happier you enjoyed them. My favourite is the one in the servicing section with the missing engine.
