What can be removed under the intake?
What is circled in the pic? What else in the pic can be removed from there? I know it is dirty I am in the process of cleaning it.

It's called the "Venturi tube". Don't ask me what its specific purpose is 'cause I don't know. I do know I had to replace mine as it wasn't sealing in the middle.

Is it one part? It all appears to be welded together and I would love to replace or eliminate it.

You can remove the venturi tube, y-tube and restrictor. Take a look at the thread "venturi tube nightmare" in this forum. That thread contains some diagrams and peoples experiences converting the old venturi tube based system to the simpler system present in 88 and newer cars. I just went for the simpler two hose system and have has no issues with it.

One of those tubes connects to the cycling valve and intercooler pipe and IIRC other goes between cycling valve and airbox... the big third one, no clue - cranck vent or brake booster?? If you ditch the CV, you can probably get rid of the metal tubes too - if the third one is actually necessary, just put some generic rubber tubing there

The AVC-R has its own cycling valve so the stock one is gone (well will be). Therefore, all of this stuff can be removed? I can run one line to the booster and one to the intercooler? I checked the other thread but I am pretty visual.

sm posted a good picture in the thread "Turbo Vacuum Lines routing" in this forum. You can also try searching for 951-110-223-01 or 951-110-221-00 - the part numbers of the two new hoses that you'll need. These two hoses allow you to eliminate the following hoses etc. and, more importantly, the connections between these which are potential sources for vacum leaks:
951.110.213.00 hose (brake booster to venturi tube)
067.133.753.A venturi tube (3 way)
951.110.211.01 hose (venturi tube to intake manifold)
951.110.265.00 hose (venturi tube to metal connecting piece)
944.110.241.02 restrictor (inside 951.110.265.00)
951.110.263.00 metal connecting piece (3 way)
951.110.219.01 hose (idle stabilizer to metal connecting piece)
951.110.215.03 hose (metal connecting piece to intake manifold)
I did this recently to my 87 951 and it's idling and running well.

I should have taken a pic of the assembly before I put the intake manifold back on. Sorry.
It is super simple to visualize. The middle port on the manifold has a tube that goes to the black/blue check valve on the way to the brake booster.
The port closest to the front of the engine has a tube that goes to the intake of the idle stabilizer. The output of the idle stablized goes to the intercooler pipe port opposite of where the blow off valve is attached.

Since you indicated "welded together", it must be the 3 pipes you are referring to. In that case:
The two small metal pipes obviously connect to the cycling valve.
One of which supplies pressure (the uppper as viewed from the pic), and the other (the lower as viewed from the pic) vents excess pressure back to the J boot.
The other large pipe is the ail/oil seperator. That pipe feeds blowby back to the engine before the turbo inlet on the J boot.
