What sound does a R and P make if it's about to go?
I've been hearing a low whomp whomp whomp from my right rear area for a while now, been dealing with other things first. Now that engine is back to a happy place I'm addressing the other little (hopefully) things.
The sound can be heard on this video, I hadn't noticed it since I always drive with the windows down.

I thought it was CVs since the wheel bearings seemed solid and the wheels have no play or grinding when turning. Cleaned and re packed them, they looked perfect, and swapped axles side to side, same sound from same side. Thought I'd go ahead and do wheel bearings, but wondering if I should bump up my spare trans rebuild schedule because it doesn't seem like wheel bearing.
The sound is speed and not RPM dependent, at idle with the trans in neutral coasting you can hear it slow in sync with wheel speed.
Anyone have a trans go after hearing this sound?

I'll check today, I haven't noticed that it does.
It's when coasting to a stop that I hear it the most, but that's also because everything else is fairly quiet.

Three Wheelin'
When under load the shaft of the diff satellite gears is pushed against the diff casing so it probably won't make much noise but when at light load it may move more freely.
I would go for the diff satellite shaft (more specifically the pin that holds it in the casing) and the shaft is touching pinion.
