Nice car.

How do you like the Vitesse Stage 2 turbo? How much boost do you run, and what rpm do you get full boost by? Does the boost decline close to redline? Got any dyno plots?

Well, its a bit laggy and old, im planing a 3L16V with another turbo in about 2 years.
But, i think getting rid of the old piggyback Vittesseracing ( wich is a SMT6), and installing a modern EMU Ecu will do a lot of respons.

Meaby the car can to 800 km to 80 L of gasoline, now i have been doing 500 km to 80L. :banghead:

Oh, I wouldn't have thought that turbo is laggy. How laggy exactly? I'm asking because I'm considering the vitesse stage 2 as a future upgrade for my car.

500km is about all I get out of tank as well...though I am a bit of a lead foot.

On cruising AF is about 10-11,5, schould be 13 ish with no boost.

Trackday use was 300km on 80L

So my engine is getting "washed" in fuel.

I aim for 15:1 on cruise... but I don't have a cat. Even with one, 14-14.7 is still plenty safe. Better gas mileage than stock. I never measured the AFR on the cruise portion of the stock tune but I'd imagine it's a little fatter.

No cat here either.
First i need to make the new engine harness, and make my rear seat delete plug, mount my Stilo intercom and then, in january go to my tuner :)

Your car should not run 10-11 AFRs while cruising. The software is configured to run 13.5-14.5:1 while cruising, and it uses closed loop.
Apparently there is something wrong with your setup, either the PiggiBack is tuned incorrectly, a bad ground (which is common) or a few more items to check. May be too late now, as you already pulled off the engine management.

The kit on your car is roughly 10-12 years old. The turbo you have is very fast spooling, but the rich AFRs and possibly the boost control method are hurting spool.

Good luck with your project.

Yes I replied to your email shortly after I received it. Your turbo will support 380-400rwhp with the proper octane. I recall you mentioned the car running 340-345rwhp on pump gas for the past 7-8 years or so.
With E85, race gas and/or water Methanol you can run more boost and make more power.

thanks, spent 3.5 hours on that, but i hope it will kill some sound.
Was 90db in 130 km/h inside the car.

gruhsy 12-13-2016 06:10 PM

wow thats actually pretty loud. 80db over 8 hrs is the limit exposure threshold at my work, and because sound is logarithmic 90 is freakin loud :)

For comparison the paint booth at my work which is running at this very moment....is 85 db inside.
