Hi!

Are you going to use existing LCD-readout or replace it? There's D-I-Y electronic thermometer kits available ( at least her where I live ) ,which use a microchip as readout driver, you adjust input signal with potentiometers to get right values.I'm not sure if these kits can be used with car's readout, but it might be worth asking.
It could be cool to have selector for clock/temp and a rotary switch for different temps... IC in/ IC out/ambient etc!
Go to your nearest electronics parts shop with your questions, they can help you.

No, I am replacing the whole unit. I traded my clock for a personalised plate... one I owned 5 years ago and sold when I sold my car! I bumped into the guy and his clock was broken... now I have my plate back!

You could put an Air/Fuel ratio gauge in its place but you would need the clock casing to install it in.

I purchasd a 968 LCD clock a while ago and planned to install it in place of the clock, but I didn't have the wiring diagram for the temp gauge, and thus didn't know what the connections should be to power it up... and I just don't have the time to mess with it.

Further, the 968 has either 1 or 2 temp sensors in the door mirrors, which feed into the temp gauge.

It would be pretty simple to hook up. The temp gauge is much cheaper than the clock at the dealer (like about 1/3 the price). Also, I've got a few spare LCD clocks here for sale if someone nees one, as well as a new 968 LCD temp gauge.

The 968 LCD temp gauge is a direct bolt-in replacement for the 951 LCD clock. However, the electrical connector is different for each... and the 968 needs the temp senders to feed into the temp gauge, etc...

Yeah, I have the sensor and LCD 968 gauge, just need to know what wires to keep off the clock for earth and power etc and which the new gauge needs...
