Just playing with the injectors and rail tonight. Found my 750cc injectors from the 944 build that i never used. They're Low Impedance injectors. I still have the resistors i made if i do use them, But i'm not to sure if i will as they appear to touch the head.
The injectors are in the CIS holes. They're a little loose, but maybe drill them out and put in a sleeve or something similar.
We made the fuel rail. and i gave it a polish.

A small update to what I'm going to do with the car:
After attending WTAC 2016 up in sydney, We've decided that along with competing in local timed events, we want to also compete at the world time attack events in sydney in the Club Sprint class with a friendly competition with Paul (the other 944 in this class) Yep theres a porsche in every class. Pauls 944 in club sprint, Patricks 944 in open and Rods 968 in pro.
There's 1 issue that i've ran into running in this class. I'm not allowed to run any form of "wide body" But bolt on flares are allowed.
If i run a form of wide body that would automatically put me in open class putting me in competition with patrick and i don't plan on going that far.
I can simply just pick up a 944 and work off that, but That's not what i want to do. I want to develop off the 924 base and use the 2L engine. Also the regulations allow -5% under the factory weight (of the lightest model) so using a 924 will allow less weight if i want to push all rules to their boundaries.
IF i can run a CGT kit on the 924 that would make life easier, but i need to see if i'm allowed to as it's a factory produced car.
The other option is run an aftermarket front bumper modified to fit the narrow 924 and possibly bolt on some broadfoot flares and make them work on a 924 for extra tyre width.
+ splitter and canards to assist with front aero.
I did look at using the factory bumper and front end setup and modifying it, adding a splitter ect, but just not viable as to much air will be pushed down at the splitter and not doing anything any good.
Edit: This also takes some of the stuff i originally wanted to do, like wide body, tube front end, custom cooling ect. But this just means now i can push to the edge of the rules. There are some seriously quick cars in the class.
Pretty much need to retain a lot of stock point for suspension, engine, cooling unless added IC or oil cooler (they're both open placement)

Sounds great Paul. Sorry that I missed you guys. I was there on the Friday and went up to PK's garage but couldn't see anyone around.
I think you could have some fun in Clubsprint with a really light 924. Not sure of the rules and if you can actually change the motor in that class but a 2ltr with a light body could be an ok start. I wonder if Michael Mount has played around with the 924 motor much? Wonder if you couldn't do a stroker turbo motor. Pity that the 8v head will hold it back.

When i was at Rods garage, he had mentioned you where floating around his garage 10 mins go.
The club sprint rules for engines:
(a) Engine modifications are free except that vehicles must retain an engine from the OEM manufacturer of that vehicle and the number of cylinders or in the case of a rotary engine, rotors must remain as per OEM.
(b) The use of a turbocharger or supercharger is allowed. For example if the vehicle is a Toyota that came with a four cylinder engine the vehicle can be fitted with any Toyota 4 cylinder engine that can also use forced induction.
When i went back to the shop on monday, after work i had a look at what i can actually do to the head. And there's something i can possibly do to the ports that can improve flow. It might just be a crazy idea, but it could possibly work. I might mention it to michael and see what he said about it. Need to chat with him anyway.
Also going Rods path with the head is possible with a little fiddling around.
I'll send you a PM later tonight.

Got started sanding the body back so i can paint the exterior.
While i wait for the flairs i got started on both the rear 1/4 pannels and the front 1/4 pannels. They both will be cut so i didn't go to close to the wheel arches. I just used an orbital with 80 grit sandpaper to rip the paint off it. I'll have to hand sand the edges and corners ect. It's not going to be a show car so as long as it's got a decent coat of paint on it i'll be happy.
Did i mention some moron painted it...?

Very nice fuel rail, did you put in another internal tube so you can have in and out on the same side or is there any other trick to achieve that?

I suppose a tube inside would work. But that will lower the volume on the fuel rail. Not sure if that will affect flow though.
