as for the speed, I keep it pretty sane. only pushed it past the 130 mark once or twice on our public highways. however, I do love the way the car handles at 120mph when the aerodynamics come into full play. the car hunkers down, the wind rushing past sounds so sweet, and there's still plenty of throttle left

I am new to this car, but I hit 150 with really no problem. I have the Welt chip and a MBC at about 15PSI.

I am a Viper owner and love speed. This car is really great at high speeds! I have never owned a Porsche before, but now I get it. However, there is nothing like a Viper!!!!

From what I ahve seen, the older Porsches in Germany still have a following. I have seen some example in Germany of the the 944 series. In general, all of the older Porsches I have seen are probably nice than the US counterparts. It would probably be the TUV.

That said, I have never been able to drive a Porsche on an Autobahn. I will one of the days. The 997s are 250E per day. It would be a fun day. I would rent one next time I go, but I want good weather. I doubt in a week the weather will be good. So another audi for me. Besides, audis I can expense, Porsche I can't.

lol. You'll be first.
Did you know that Porsche didn't race a 16 valce 2.5 turbo from the factory? The four 968TRS cars were all 8 valve cars from the factory. The funny thing is that everyone thinks that a 3.0 8 valve is "not quite the best you can go", and assumes that the 968 TRS race cars were 16 valvers, but they were not.
You have quite the unigue beast on your hands. I'll bet there are less than 50 on the the planet, that actually start and run daily. I know raj has one as well, but they get pretty few and far between after that.
Yep. If I win, your car is MINE!

Awesome. That 930 is simply awesome! A 930 like that is probably the most bad *** Porsche you can get.
One day I'm going to build a 930 with similar specs

BTW calculated top speed of the green hunter will be 200+ mph "real" speed (not speedo). And we're gonna rent an airfield to find out... yes, there will be datalogs and video

Cannot wait to see it. We have an "abandoned" local air strip about an hour from my house that we AutoX on. I've been meaning to see if I can get permission to shoot some photo/video out there I considered just going there as the gate is open.... but a State Police barracks sits at the enterance!

you can actually rent an airfield over there? is that even going to be long enough to do a top speed run?

There are places in the US where you can too, you just need to know someone who knows someone As for long enough, figure you find a 1 1/2 mile runway, start a rolling speed at one end at around 55mph, maybe not top speed but I bet you can get moving pretty damn fast before getting on the brakes.
