Just FYI,
Scale showed today:
1986 951 - 3110lbs
1993 RSA - 2980lbs
My buddy and my P-cars are starting a weight loss challenge. Anybody know where I can get carbon fiber headlight washer nozzles?

My '86 951 weighed 2929 lbs with about 1/4 tank plus all the normal stuff like spare tire, factory tool kit, air compressor and a briefcase. Weighed at a certified transportation scale.

Those weights are with a full tank, fire extinguisher, extra bottle of coolant, stack spare and compressor, but no driver. I'll repost after we do some weigh loss.

My Brother is taking his '86, 951 apart, piece by piece. He purchased a new scale and had it calibrated. Found out that the weight of his car pieces are vastly different from other published #'s. Can't get too light. Mine weighed in @ 3040 W/me in it and 1/2 tank~ and 24#'s of unecessary stuff (spare tire, etc.) That turned out to be lighter than I recalled. Gonna go to another scale.

I've read a few threads on our car weights before and noticed quite a variation in #s. This is on cars with no weight loss program for tracking; just basically stock cars with mods. I wonder why that is if the official weight is supposed to be 2998#s (curb weight; non '86 cars). I think curb weight is half a tank gas and all fluids ( somebody correct me if I'm wrong). I also heard that the type of seats you have make a big difference. So, with what seat type is Porsche publishing these numbers?
