Porschephile, I noticed your inquiry in the thread about the '87 Diamond Blue in CA. That one is probably a much better deal.
I'd never buy a used car from a dealer, you can't trust them.
Have some rennlisters in LA (or wherever he is) recommend a shop to do the PPI (and maybe bribe one of them into driving it over...try to get somebody other than the seller to take it, to ensure an honest inspection). If it checks out, get a one-way plane ticket for $50, pick it up, and enjoy a fun drive home across the desert!
I bet he'll want more than $11k if the car's in good shape though...

I'd pay $5000 maybe,
No $4500.
Dealers suck.

Me and a friend get bored so we test drive cars.
We looked at a eagle talon cause my friend said they would be faster than a 911. As it turned out it had $10000 dropped into the engine. Anyway we were talking to the salesman and he mentioned that he was really into cars.

His words:
"I live and die by the gearhead law"

WTF, it was hard not to laugh, those guys are asses.

Denver here!

I paid $9,000. Car was 9.5/10 - very nice in/out, new belts, new clutch, new S-02's, local car, ALL paper work from new, meticulous maintnenance.

I saw that car at eurotrash imports. It seemed pretty clean but I never drove it. Don't pay more than $9,000.

Good luck and see ya at a PCA - RMR event!

I found one in Thornton...it's burgendy. I"m lookin at it tomorrow. It's had the belts done within 1000 miles cuz they didn't do em for a while, the belt broke and they had to rebuild the head. buyer beware?

It's a struggle bro.. the only reason I work is to buy a damn 951. I hate going to work and talking to these people, but the only reason I'm working my *** off is to own a 951.

Lifes a damn struggle.
