Default Pull the Trigger on 968 CS Steering Wheel?- 968-347-084-00-8YR

So I've had my 86 944T for about a year. It's been brought back to completely stock condition with the exception of the upgrade to OEM Sports seats.

There's been one upgrade that has been in the back of my mind for quite some time that just won't go away - swapping out the original steering wheel for the sporty 968 CS wheel. I've read up on the wheel and done exhaustive searches so I'm leaning towards going for it. Any support for the swap or should I stick with stock?

Current Interior:

Thumbs up

That car is simply stunning! Stock cars look best IMO.

I say go for the CS wheel. Looks great and still looks stock. And you can easily swap back to stock.

CS wheel is much better than original, I too had sort of a problem with that because I love the way original looks, but when you wrap your fingers around CS, there is no turning back.

So you can still order this from the dealer?? Can you share the price? And is it plug and play or is there an adapter. Thanks!!

You'll love the wheel. BTW, I love the red hazard light switch.

I bought one from Circle Porsche Parts a few months ago.

Only problem was the packing job was poor, and the tab for canceling the turn signals was snapped off... Luckily it was still in the box, so I just super-glued it back on. No problems!

Agreed on the red hazard switch. Picked one up on eBay too. Should have it on Monday. I do like the original hazard switch which is translucent with a light that flashes with the flashers - but the red one really pops in a black interior. As you can see below, this one came from a 95 993 but interesting that it was originally a 944 part number. I'll post pics of both when they are in there.

As for the new wheel I have coming, Sunset Porsche Parts seemed to be the cheapest option I could find at 437.54 (459.70 w/tax and shipping)

I love mine, it's followed me around for a few cars now and just seems to be the right look to my eye. I do prefer the crest on the horn button though.
