Default Rennbay / Air Fuel Gauge and Clock Replacement / Weekend Sale

HERE is the link to the weekend sale. Sale ends on Sunday at 12PM EST. At that time the payment option will change from the Sale price of $65 to the standard price of $90.
There is a LOT of work that has went into these things and if you are in the market for an Air/Fuel gauge they are well worth every penny. Plus they look right at home sitting there in your dash.
The chart on the sale page is an approximate relation of the light bar to the air fuel ratio. If anyone would like exact voltages for each light just let me know.
Again, if anyone has any questions just post them here or email me at support@rennbay.com

Hey Travis,

Do you recommend hooking the unit up to the interior light dimmer power source to adjust brightness? I would think that bright lights flickering on your dash at night would get bothersome after a while...

The lighting is really not that bad. Its bright enough to see in the daytime but not overwhelming at night.
If you were so inclined you could always hook up a small toggle switch to the power line so it could be switched off when not in use.
The ones I have been testing , I have hooked directly to the old clock power wiring and they have worked just fine. Again, if you were so inclined you could use the clocks +12v and run an extension of the ground wire directly to the frame or another solid grounding point. I have not found it necessary though.

I am also in the UK and interested in this Travis.

Where would I hook it up to? I have an '89 951 that has no cat and therefore no oxygen sensor on the exhaust. Do I need to install a universal one?

Graeme, does your '87 have a cat and where were you going to connect?

I guess I should have been a little more clear on that one but this is for cars equipped with O2 sensors only. Thats where it gets the reading from. Of coarse if you wanted to install an O2 sensor into your exhaust and run the single wire up to the meter it would work fine. O2 sensors are less than $20.
Never the less, shipping to the UK is the same as domestic shipping rates. If anyone over there wants an O2 sensor to go along with it just email me and I will pick some up over the weekend.

My cost on the O2 sensors are $20. I can pick some up for those who need them on Monday. Any exhaust shop should be able to weld a bung on into the piping to accept the sensor. Its basically just a hole with a nut welded over it.

I just posted up a buy button for the O2 sensors on the sale page. Please only buy one if you are also buying a gauge. That is the cost price and is there as a favor for those out of the country or without O2 sensors.

From the PET it looks like the O2 sensor on the turbos goes right in the Y pipe right before the exhaust crosses over to the turbo.

A further look into the PET shows that you do have the threaded hole for the O2 sensor, it just has a cap over it because its not being used. This is not true for the NA's but it seems to be there on the turbos.

PET:
9442 , MG 2, Ill. 202-15 & 202-20

On the 202-15 you can see where the O2 sensor is being replaced with a plug numbered 45 in the drawing. 202-20 is the US model for comparison.
