I don't have HX40 super, just HE341 with single scroll and leaky intake side during dyno. Will get new dyno graph in upcoming weeks.

I know you're a fan of this intake and clearly it has a proven success via Gustaf's own motor. What is your impression of it for a street car with stock cams and lowish c/r for a 16v head?

Shawn, is this head fully stock ie valvetrain etc?

This is going to be a great E85 street motor. The Variocam will be a cool feature to go along with the short runner intake. I am looking forward to testing it as the Variocam will be Arduino controlled.

Michael cleaned up the ports, rebuilt the head and modified it for the 2.5L block. The valve train is stock 968.

I will always be willing to give up a bit of bottom end on these turbo motors by keeping CR lower. Even with the stiffer 16V head, I have seen evidence that these heads move around quite a bit. Sean is running 8:1 CR and still replaces his cometic every year IIRC.

We will dyno it and post the results.

Some interesting combinations. Have no doubt it will be a very nice motor. :-)

Are you going to put in windage ports between the #1 and #2 and between the #3 and #4 in the lower block like the 104mm blocks have?

Did you TIG that intake up yourself? Also, it is nice to see block pictures with all the front studs in so I can figure out where they go on mine.

Custom JE pistons arrived. Big thanks to Michael Mount! Last pic is the MM bearing mod to run Clevite bearings.

Hi, looks good. Did you source the pistons from M.Mount or did he supply the specs to order from JE direct ? I am looking for some 16v pistons for myself. Thanks.
