Do you see many 951's on the road?

The acknowledgement thing extends to other types of Porsches. When the 911 came out the 356 purists cried foul and the 356 is way closer to a VW than a 911 is. I have met cool 911 owners and some real wastes of DNA. The 914 group has already been through the mill on this one, maybe it's our turn before the 924/44 series gets its due recognition. BTW I have gotten waves from a couple Cyannes. Not all of them are stuck up yuppies.
I say, enjoy the 951, or any other watercooler for that matter. It is still a Porsche.

I see a lot of 944 here in the Bay Area. There are two early 944 on the block that I live on. One of them is pretty beat up and the other is well taken care of. i rarely see 951's on the road but I know there's several of them here. I just never see them.
I was at Laguna Seca this Sunday for the Road & Track Sports car invitational and I saw at least 15 951's and several 944 on the track. it was a joy to see since it was the first time I ever saw a 944/951 in competition.
