Saturday wrenching (pics)
Tommy has been busy doing a belt job on his 951... I went along today, and swapped my intercooler (again) (see the earlier ic mod thread..). Was quite nice, and the weather was great (which is a good thing as you'll see).
We were over at a friend's (=Sebastian) place on the countryside, about a half an hour drive from where I live. He's importing cars from Germany all the time (it's usually cheaper than getting one locally), so his garage keeps changing all the time... that black 951 was meant to be a daily driver, but somebody really wanted to buy it, and of course everything is for sale if the price is right So it's getting an oil change, a belt job and what not prior to the sale... Tommy's 951 is on the right.
Tommy going after some power steering hose on Sebastians other 951 (he bought that car while we were visiting the factory last summer)
Still a lot of stuff to do here
"race look" (not a permanent modification) (that's my header panel if you were wondering)
We gots them intercoolers
(to be continued)

Your's truly doing some lame wrenching over there. Excuse the jalopy
Black car almost done now...
We needed more space in the "garage" so out this went..

Sami, I have to say one thing........
SCUMBAG! (j/k)
I was actually all ready to go on my engine swap, but I got laid up with a bloody cold! Now I'll have to wait another week!
Looks like you've had fun today. Keep it up!

yup, we had a fun day..
but we still have a lot of work to do with my car..
the belts, IC, front brake pads, clutch cylinder..
Now we well have a couple days off.
Story continues on Tuesday.
And yes, we all have the same wheels here in Finland

Looks like a dream I had once...
"There's a place in the deep woods, not known to most men, where Porsches graze peacefully..."
What's the scoop on the intercooler mod? Looks like just the ends were enlarged, have you had it flow tested?

You can see from the pic that we are already at "Evolution Stages"
From the left Sami's Gruppe951 Stage II cooler. In the middle is my Gruppe951 stage I and the last one is the original item.

yup, everything went pretty well; but I'm sure that we will have some
issues, when we really start taking parts away from my car. And we will
change more stuff into my 951 than we did to that black one.
So Olli, be prepared..
Yup, there was definitely some evolution going on between those IC.
And we still will do some modifications differently,
so my IC will be Gruppe951 Stage III
Hopefully it will be as nice weather tomorrow as it was during the weekend.
