I can make 16v intake flange if you want. I have S/S2 parts for the remplate, if you want 928 S3, you would need to send me the gasket or template made from some thick paper or something.

Price range with shipping would be less than 100 dollars I think.

I have made many intake flanges for various motors. The problem with the 16v head is that the injector bung, outside profile and bolt holes would be perpendicular to the mating surface, but the port would be at a 45*ish angle to it so you would need a 4 axis machine to cut it.

You can later modify the flange with a grinder, it is no problem at all.

It is still better than welding additional material and grinding original one.

The 16v injector bungs are perpendicular to the flange.
They are shooting "straight down" the port.

Do you have a favored supplier of parts in Estonia/Europe?

Just let me know what the gasket costs you to buy over there and I will reimburse you, if you can make the file/flange.

It was like $12 here.

Ordering the 928 S3 parts over here is stupidly expensive sadly...

Would used gaskets work for you raceboy?

At the top of the gasket where it's flat above the fuel injector cutout needs to be that close and flat due to clearance issues.

No, the S4 intake ports are closer to 944S size/shape than 928S3.

I was doing a bit of work on the 8v cam gear housing on the 16v and I noticed something. I machined the housing thickness and centered the cam gear hole and counter-bored it to fit and only one bolt of the three to bolt it on lines up, but more interesting is the plastic block side timing gear cover alignment. The two bolts that hold the plastic to the cam gear housing are about 0.125-0.150" off. The camshaft center-line is further away from the crankshaft.

My mock up is a 8v block assembly, with a used HG and the 928S3 head. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow.

Has anybody else tried the alignment with the correct 16v housing and timing cover?

The DOHC 944 timing gear cover lines up/bolts up to the 928 head.
Not surprised that the 8v stuff isn't even close...totally different designs!

What I think is interesting is that the height of the cam centerline is higher in the 16v head.
