Default Refresh951 - Another Hybrid Stroker 3.1L Track Motor

Built a 3.1L Hybrid Stroker for a good friends track car. Should be pretty strong. It is going in an awesome chassis. I will post more pics once the motor is installed. I also will be tuning the car on the dyno so should be great experience. Still have to complete the fab work for the GT turbo. Should have the motor ready to be installed in a couple weeks.

968 Block
90.17 mm Stroke
105.28 mm Bore
Piston Squirters
8:1 CR

2.7 8V Ported Head flowing 245 CFM
Cometic Head Gasket
Lindsey Intake
GT3582R Garrett Turbo
Dry Sump
Custom Exhaust Header
Electromotive Tech GT Engine Management.

Default Refresh851 - Another Hybrid Stroker 3.1L Track Motor

This new GT app appears to be working!

Looks great and very fast! You have a completed engine before I can get most piece parts! Love it!

My local machinist is getting pretty good at this stuff. Also, amazing how quickly it can go when you do not request the latest and greatest of everything.

Many reasons. Some has to do with the class the car will run in. Also, we built it with reliability in mind. Not far off from Duke's bore and stroke which has held up in harsh conditions at the track.

Looking very nice Shawn. Was there a special design on the pistons and if so, did you do it?

Thanks! Not sure, my friend supplied them. I know they have been modified for V-Band.

Thanks Patrick! Off the shelf SBC 400 pistons ($94/each). The design is also non-interference.

Nice looking engine. Do you have any pictures of 2.7 head porting?
